Melanie Maxwell
Hi, I'm Melanie. I am a photojournalist based out of Ann Arbor, Mich. I grew up in Livonia and attended Central Michigan University where I earned both a B.S. in Photojournalism and a B.F.A. in Photography in 2003. I have worked at newspapers in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan including 9 years as a full-time photojournalist at the Ann Arbor News in Ann Arbor, Mich. Currently, I work as a Deputy Director of photo and video at the Detroit Free Press in Detroit, Mich.
I have covered a variety of news, feature, collegiate and professional sport and business assignments along with extensive coverage of the University of Michigan football and basketball teams.
